Step Into The Boudoir with Erica Tait

5 Jan

There are few things in this world that Mrs. Hidden Gem loves more than boudoir photography. Boudoir photography is when a photographer captures the most intimately beautiful photos of a woman. It usually takes place in a romantic setting such as a Baroque themed hotel room, as the word boudoir is french for bedroom. Typically the woman wears lingerie during these shoots, but today, almost anything goes. While I intend to wear a mens shirt and tie for my next go round, one of my favorite pictures is of a woman wearing a football jersey for her shoot, like this one:

The beautiful thing about boudoir photography is that it makes every woman feel beautiful and sensual, no matter the size, shape, race, or age. However, I will say that it takes a master photographer to turn ones flaws into a art. That’s exactly what Erica Tait does. She is able to capture the very essence of a woman through the lens of a camera bringing their very soul to joyful tears. Boudoir photography is very liberating, and empowering. Every woman should have her pictures taken in this way at least once in her life.

If you are interested in having Erica Tait photograph you for a boudoir session you can contact her through her website Tait Boudoir, via email (boudoir@taitphoto.com), or via phone (800.213.0874). She has marathon sessions coming up in the NOVA / Washington DC area on the weekend of February 27th. Just go for it. Do NOT listen to that little voice in your head telling you that you are too fat, too skinny, not pretty enough, etc. I promise you won’t regret it. I know I didn’t and, well the hubby didn’t either…
